Testimonials
I feel so fortunate that Julie offered me her coaching services, just as I was approaching a major transition. We all have friends and family we can talk to, but having a coach means there is time reserved for you, where you can focus in on your own priorities, concerns and even preoccupations—without apology—and work through everything you are trying to do.
Julie was a great listener, was organized and kept track of things I had said and where I asked for support. She gave affirmative feedback and was able to tie things together, by reminding me of things I had said and done earlier. I even parked a long to-do list with Julie, which allowed me to work through it steadily. Knowing she was going to ask me about my tasks kept me focused, even when I wasn't with her.
The Values Indentifier tool was so helpful, and it gave us a foundation to start exploring what it was that I need to make sure to include in my next role. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience, and I would recommend it for everyone.
Working with Julie, I felt truly heard, supported, and challenged in all the right ways. Her thoughtful guidance and insightful questions helped me gain clarity about myself and my career goals, recognize my strengths, and navigate some complex life decisions with greater confidence.
Each session was flexible yet purposefully structured. Julie asked the right questions, offered honest and constructive feedback, and shared practical tools I could apply immediately. Her gracious presence and deep passion for this work are evident in every interaction
I'm incredibly grateful for the perspective and empowerment she's given me, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking not just career advancement, but meaningful personal growth.
Working Together
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
Let's get to know each other first. Book a free 45 minute intro session to discuss what you would like to work on and what you are hoping to achieve. Ask me any questions about my practice and process. Our meet and greet session can be online or in person in the Seattle area. Make an on-line appointment or use my contact form and I'll reach out to you. If we mutually decide to continue, we'll set up our schedule, sign a coaching agreement, and get started.
How does this work?
My job as a coach is to help you identify and refine your goals, eliminate the barriers that stand in your way and help you take the action to make those outcomes your realities. Together we will create a personalized plan for your journey prior to beginning the work. This commitment to each other will be included in the coaching agreement.
I've found that the people who get the best traction and results are those who dig in solidly with me for around 10 sessions, meeting every week or every other week. Each session will be a minimum of 60 minutes and up to 90 minutes based on availability and progress tackling our work for that session.
Not ready to commit to 10 sessions? Start with a Values Identifier coaching package. It's a 2-session commitment.
What is Values Identifier (VI)?
The Values Identifier is a first-of-its-kind, data-backed assessment that reveals your top personal values and shows how they shape every part of your life. I'm excited to be one of the founding Values Identifier coaches. The VI assessments are personalized, practical, and rooted in social science research. I utilize these reports to set the foundation of our work together. No fluff. Just personalized insight you can act on immediately. Your values shape how you think, act and connect with others. VI is also launching their Teams reports which can be utilized for work and organizational group coaching services.
What are your values?
My personal values from Values Identifier are: relationships, experiences, friendships, creativity, loyalty, compassion, generosity, leisure, trustworthiness, and possessions. These values are at the core of my coaching practice. I also love to host events and gatherings; in other words, I welcome people to join me at my table.
The focus of my gatherings is to feed my beloved guests – both literally with the food I serve at the table and figuratively with the attention I give them with active listening and engagement. I love creating a space that facilitates and supports healthy conversations and friendships. “Welcome to My Table” is an invitation to join me in that space of life-giving sustenance. I tap into my values to provide support, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment to help you find and maintain your unique strengths and authentic spirit in order to face life's challenges with grace.
What is your coaching style?
Both coaching and psychotherapy utilize knowledge of human behavior, motivation and behavioral change and interactive counseling techniques, but the focus of coaching is the development and implementation of strategies that will help people to reach their identified goals of enhanced performance and personal satisfaction. The relationship between the Coach and Coachee is specifically designed to avoid the power differentials that occur in the psychotherapy relationship.
As your coach, I will be both direct and challenging. In our work together, you can count on me to be professional, genuine, and actively listening as I work with you to make changes. I can't promise anything about the results you will achieve but I will promise to give you my best and am committed to being fully present in your journey.
What is your confidentiality policy?
You'll hear me say: “It's your story to tell.” We all have our own personal stories which define our lives, the decisions we've made and explain turning points or key moments. I'm interested in and curious to hear your stories and discuss ways and methods to utilize your life learning. As your coach, I will do everything in my power to keep confidential all communications between you and me. Your stories are safe with me. Bottom line, I will be rigorous about The International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics.
